Wealden Works Achieves the matrix Standard

The matrix Standard, owned by the Department for Education, is a national quality standard for information advice and guidance services. Here at Wealden Works we are proud to have achieved this standard at the first attempt, with hugely positive feedback from our assessors.

As Wealden Works receives a small amount of money from the ESFA (Education Skills Funding Agency) and we deliver Information, Advice and Guidance to our young people, we needed to make sure that we were adhering to the ‘matrix Standard’. The matrix Standard is a national standard owned by the Department for Education. Achieving the matrix Standard involves an agreed assessment process where the quality and delivery of information and advice is assessed against the standard’s four main elements: leadership and management; resources; service delivery; and continuous quality improvement.

With being such a small organisation, we knew this would be a tough day of assessments, however, we passed with flying colours, and we are proud of achieving this status on the first attempt. The verbal feedback we received from our assessor and the glowing report received made us feel incredibly proud of what Wealden Works offers our young people and what we have achieved to date.
